Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Siteflare collects, why, and what your rights are. I’ve kept it short and in plain English.
Who I am
Siteflare is run by Daniel, a sole trader based in London. I’m the “data controller” for any personal information you send me. You can contact me at dan@siteflare.co.uk or on 07477 075972.
What I collect
When you fill in the enquiry form, I collect:
- your name
- your business name (if you give it)
- your email address
- your phone number (if you give it)
- the package you’re interested in, and your message
If you email, call or WhatsApp me, I’ll have whatever details you share that way.
The “See your site” preview, price builder and website checker on this site don’t store anything about you. The website checker sends the address you type to Google’s PageSpeed Insights service to test it. It doesn’t send any of your personal details.
Why I use it
Only to reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and, if you go ahead, build and look after your website. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact me, and, if you become a client, performing our contract.
I will never sell your information or add you to a mailing list without asking.
Who else handles it
Enquiry forms are delivered to my inbox by Formspree. This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Both may process data outside the UK under approved safeguards.
How long I keep it
If you don’t become a client, I delete your enquiry within 12 months. If you do, I keep your details for as long as I’m working with you, and then for up to 6 years for tax and accounting records, as the law requires.
Cookies
This site doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies. It only remembers whether you picked light or dark mode, and that’s stored in your own browser.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how I use it. Just email dan@siteflare.co.uk and I’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
